Quality Control Technician

We are seeking a suitably experienced Quality Control Technician to join our Quality team. The QC Technician is responsible for providing assistance to the Quality team completing testing functions that include finished goods, stability, raw materials and calibration of laboratory instruments. 
Supervised tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Acceptance or quarantine of finished goods
  • Testing of raw materials, shelf life extensions and customer complaint samples
  • Perform testing of stability, finished goods, and validation samples
  • Calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Provide DOM/DOE, specific gravity, pH adjustments and fill ranges to production
  • Contribute to the efficiency of the laboratory by ensuring adequate stocks of consumables are maintained
  • Contribute to the laboratory by ensuring instruments and equipment are maintained, cleaned and kept in good working order
  • Contributing to laboratory housekeeping by assisting in the general cleaning of labware, work area and the laboratory in general
  • Maintaining up-to-date laboratory records for all testing, analytical work and investigations carried out
  • Promptly reporting any deviation in any test results to the QC Manager, and perform investigations as required

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum equivalent of Diploma of Laboratory Technology or Bachelor of ; Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical, Microbiology or Life Science
  • Experience in a quality role, within the Pharmaceutical or a manufacturing industry will be highly regarded
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment (e.g. GLP, GMP, ISO) would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with laboratory techniques
  • Strong health and safety awareness
  • Excellent communication and timekeeping skills
  • Strong computer skills including proficient use of Microsoft
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team and cross-functionally
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships departmentally and inter-departmentally with collegiality
  • A positive and responsible attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to learn tasks quickly
