For the treatment and control in sheep and lambs of benzimidazole or levamisole resistant roundworms. Also controls lungworms, tapeworms and adult liver fluke. Reduces the output of worm and fluke eggs.

Indications

STRATEGIK COMBO Dual Action Mineralised Sheep and Lamb Drench is intended for use against benzimidazole and levamisole susceptible worms of the following species: 

ROUNDWORMS (mature and immature)

  • Barber’s pole worm Haemonchus contortus
  • Small brown stomach worm Ostertagia spp.
  • Stomach hair worm Trichostrongylus axei
  • Black scour worm Trichostrongylus spp.
  • Small intestinal worm Cooperia spp.
  • Hookworm Bunostomum spp.
  • Nodule worm Oesophagostomum columbianum
  • Thin-necked intestinal worm Nematodirus spp.
  • Large bowel worm Oesophagostomum venulosum
  • Large mouthed bowel worm Chabertia ovina

LUNGWORMS

  • Large lungworm Dictyocaulus filaria

TAPEWORMS

  • Heads and Segments Moniezia spp.

LIVER FLUKE (Adults)
Fasciola hepatica

Reduces the output of viable worm and fluke eggs.

Dosage

By law, the user must take due care, obtaining expert advice when necessary, to avoid unnecessary pain and distress when using the product other than as directed on the label. 

General Directions: 

  1. Shake container well before use. 
  2. Administer orally, and check accuracy of drenching equipment before and during use. Clean drenching equipment thoroughly before and after use. 
  3. A representative sample of animals should be weighed before treatment. 
  4. Dose the mob to the heaviest animal by live weight in each group (ewes, wethers, rams, lambs). Do not under dose. 
  • Where there is a large variation in size within the group, dose rate should be based on the label directions for each weight range. Drafting into two or more lines may be appropriate, to avoid excessive overdosing. 

Dose Rates 

Sheep and Lambs: 1 mL per 5 kg body weight (4.8 mg/kg albendazole, 7.5 mg/kg levamisole HCl).

Withholding Period(s)

It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds. 

Meat: Animals producing meat or offal for human consumption must not be sold for slaughter either during treatment or within 10 days of cessation of the last treatment.

Milk: Milk intended for sale for human consumption must be discarded during treatment and for not less than 10 days following the last treatment.
